It is reported that HDG domestic price continued to go up on the Iranian market.

The HDG price was being quoted at USD 815 per tonne to USD 835 per tonne one week ago. The main reason for the price hike owes to the news that the Iranian government will probably lift the import tariff on some plate and long products.

Although Iran has increased its domestic HDG output dramatically in the recent years, it still can not fully meet the local demand. Iran usually imports HDG from CIS, China and India.

According to the statistics from the customs, Iran imported HDG coil of 188,000 tonnes of 2008.
