
It is reported that oil ministry of Iraq has begun preparing information packs about the fields covered by its latest round of exploitation licensing.
Director General of Contracts and Licenses Abdul Mahdi al-Amidi told AKnews that the information packs include precise details for the development and exploitation of the different sites.
These packs will be distributed among the 40 or so global companies participating in the licensing round.
Mr Abdel Karim al-Luaibi Iraqi oil minister announced at the beginning of April the ministry's readiness to launch a fourth round of licenses to foreign companies for investment in 12 exploratory crude oil and gas fields.
