
A spokesman for the Iraqi Oil Ministry said that the country's oil exports last month hit 50.5 million barrels with a total value of USD 1.922 billion at a rate of USD 38 per barrel.
He indicated that the daily rate of exports was 1.8 million barrels during the 28 day month of February.
According to the spokesman, the exported amount was 37.9 million barrels at USD 1.444 billion from the southern ports while the Kirkuk exports reached 12.6 million barrels at USD 478 million.
He said that the purchasing companies were 20 of different European, Asian and American nationalities.
It is worth mentioning that Iraq had exported 58.621 million barrels of oil during the month of January 2009.
