Turkey's largest steelmaking group Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS has announced that its Iskenderun-based subsidiary Iskenderun Demir ve Celik AS has commissioned its modernized coke battery No. 4.

The company stated that it has invested USD 48 million in the modernization project. The newly commissioned coke battery increases the daily coke production capacity of Isdemir to 6,450 tonnes from 5,250 tonnes.
