Mr Paolo Scaroni,CEO of Italy's ENI oil group expressed the group's support to development of Tunisia's energy activities.

He reasserted, during his meeting with Industry and Technology Minister Mr Abdelaziz Rassaa, ENI's readiness to carry on its scheduled projects, namely the laying down of the Gas of the South pipeline which would ensure delivery of gas, coming from several oil and gas fields to Gabès.

Mr Rassaa in turn highlighted the efforts made by the caretaker government to develop Tunisia's investment environment, particularly in the energy sector.

He added that despite a slight decrease in the output as a result of social unrest, market supply and continuity of production activities had been ensured.
