Arab Steel reported that rebar quotes moved up in Jordanian markets after they have been stable for a week.

According to the index pricelist issued by the Jordanian Chamber of Industry in cooperation with steel mills in Jordan effective for one week, which got a copy of, applicable rebar ex works price is now in the range of JOD 428 per tonne to JOD 444 per tonne grade 40 free on truck. The common price until last week was in the range of JOD 425 to JOD 435. The new price shall reach JOD 462 per tonne to JOD 480 per tonne after adding 8% of tax on sales.

According to the index list, ex works rebar price grade 60 increased to become around JOD 433 per tonne to JOD 449 per ton free on truck. Thus, when adding tax on sales, the price shall range between JOD 467 per tonne and JD 485 per tonne.
