
Arab News reported that KEC International has received 3060 million Indian rupee contracts from Saudi Arabia. The company which is part of RPG Group, is into infrastructure engineering, procurement and construction activities.
The order from Saudi Arabia is for 380 kV double circuit overhead transmission lines and has been awarded by the Saudi Electricity Company.
KEC International in a statement said the order is worth INR 3060 million and was secured through the firm's JV with Al Sharif Group. The contract is expected to be completed in 24 months. With these contracts, the company's order book is about INR 84,500 million.
Mr Ramesh Chandak international MD and CEO KEC said that "We are happy to keep the continuous momentum of new orders despite the challenging global economic environment. In India, the company has secured two new orders for 400 kV double circuit overhead transmission lines: One order is from Power Grid Corporation of India and other from Private customer VISA Power."
