
Kuwait National Petroleum Company plans to sign KWD 260 million contract with South Korea's Daelim Industrial Company to build a fourth gas production line, also known as trains at its Mina Al Ahmadi refinery.
Mr Mohammed Al Ajmi spokesman at the state run refiner said that we already have three trains this is the fourth gas train with an associated pipeline. KNPC hopes to sign the contract at the end of this month.
Mr Asaad Al Saad deputy chairman of KNPC said that the company plans to spend KWD 410 million on natural gas projects by the end of 2013. The projects include a fourth gas pipeline costing KWD 260 million with a capacity of 850 million cubic feet per day. A second project costing an estimated KWD 150 million would boost the production capacity of an existing acid gas treatment plant.
