
BS reported that engineering major Larsen & Toubro's power transmission & distribution division has bagged the INR 1,210 crore order from KAHRAMAA for supply and construction of 13 substations in Qatar. The project is expected to be completed in a span of 18 to 26 months.
The filing said that the contract encompasses design and construction of civil buildings with a complete set of utilities such as air conditioning, fire protection, lighting systems and much more.
The scope of the order also includes delivery of gas insulated switchgears, associated cabling, power transformers, air insulated switchgears, protection and substation automation system.
L&T recently completed the delivery of six 66 KV substations for KAHRAMAA which is the government body of Qatar for transmission & distribution of electricity.
