Washington Bangla reported that L&T Modular Fabrication Yard LLC, a joint venture between Larsen & Toubro and Zubair Corporation of Oman will dedicate its state of the art fabrication facility to The Sultanate of Oman.

The dedication ceremony to mark the Sultanate's 40 National Day will be attended by His Excellency Ahmed bin Abdulnabi Macki minister of National Economy, Mr AM Naik CMD of L&T, Mr Rashad bin Mohammad Al Zubair chairman of Zubair Corporation and several other dignitaries.

L&T MFY is located in the Sohar Industrial Port Area and covers an area of 400,000 square meters with a dedicated load out facility. The yard has state of the art facilities for heavy fabrication, sophisticated equipment for testing and for the load out of ultra large modules.

Since its inception in 2006, L&T MFY has rapidly established a name on the international stage. A succession of spectacular load outs in 2008 affirms its capabilities as a world class facility. L&T MFY has an annual capacity of up to 50,000 tonnes.
