
MAN has announced a contract to supply 72 trucks to the Kuwait Municipality, part of what is likely to be a larger commitment in 2012.
The German manufacturer of commercial vehicles says it expects 112 units to the Kuwaiti market this year with 2 more deals in the pipeline of 22 and 18 units respectively.
Mr Muttaqui Asghar sales manager of Al Ahlia Heavy Vehicles Selling & Import said that MAN’s Kuwaiti dealer is projecting sales of 175 units including trucks and buses units in the market this year.
MAN have a portfolio of trucks ranging from six to 41 tonnes gross vehicle weight which includes offerings serving the waste disposal sector, road and conduit cleaning and maintenance sectors in addition to the wider passenger transport, goods transport, logistics and other commercial vehicle sectors.
The company said that it is acquiring a new fleet and modern machinery specializing in street cleaning and waste management, relating to its goal of achieving its zero waste to landfill goal.
