
Mr Abdullah Zainal Alireza minister of commerce and industry and chairman of the board of directors of MODON signed a contract worth SAR 250 million to develop Dammam's third Industrial City.
The 48 million square meter area of the industrial city is located south of Dammam on Abqaiq road, 25 kilometers away from Dammam's second Industrial City.
MODON Director General Tawfig Alrabiah said that the contract was the first of a series of deals for the development of the industrial city. The development project includes networks of roads and sidewalks, lighting and electricity, floods drainage and service lines.
Dammam's third Industrial City is characterized by a unique design in accordance with the highest international standards. Supporting areas of large plots have been allocated for residential, commercial and logistical projects. The city will include areas for industries including petroleum, metal, plastic, food, vehicles and building materials.
The industrial sector in the Eastern Province is considered to be the most important strategic investment in the Kingdom with the industries providing investment and employment opportunities for Saudi nationals.
