
MNA reported that Iran’s GDP growth reached 4.3% in the year 1388.
Mr Hossein Ghazavi the central bank deputy governor said that the GDP growth figure was around 3.5% including the oil sector. He expressed the hope that GDP growth would increase in the year ended March 2011.
He added that in the year ended March 2009, the growth of agriculture sector contracted to 11.3%. In the oil sector the growth fell to 2% due to cutting oil production in accordance with OPEC quotas. But, the growth of industry sector and service sector rose to 4.6% and 2% respectively.
