The steel market players in Middle East remained cautious for long products on weakening of scrap while accepting higher levels for flat products on the news of surge in import offers from China as well as Black Sea.

The Middle East Long Product Price Index MLPPI went up by 6 points last week whereas the Middle East Flat Products Index MFPPI surged by 78 points. The overall price index Middle East MEASPI inclined by 28 points.
