Khaleej Times quoted Mr Ali Rashid Lootah chairman of Nakheel as saying that it has collected more than AED 26 million in service fees for Palm Jumeirah's Shoreline Apartments since launching its fee collection campaign in November 2011.
He added that "Our collection campaign continues to gather momentum. Outstanding service fees at the Shoreline Apartments have dropped from AED 72 million in November 2011 to AED 46 million today. As we have stressed before, only by collecting the fees due can we ensure ongoing maintenance and improvements at our facilities, and payment to our service providers. We are encouraged by the response to our push on collections, and urge those who have not yet paid to do so. It is wrong for customers who have honored their payments to be subsiding those who haven't."
Mr Lootah thanked RERA for its continued support in looking after the interests of investors and developers in Dubai.
Long term (annual lease) tenants at the Shoreline Apartments are reminded that they can check with Nakheel as to whether or not their landlords have paid their service charges.
