The News reported that in order to improve liquefied petroleum gas supplies and imports, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has determined the maximum consumer price for imported LPG at PKR 1,450 per 11.8 kilogram cylinder or PKR 123 per kilogram for all the urban and rural areas of the country.

However, due to higher transportation cost in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Northern Areas and FATA, PKR 30 per 11.8 kilogram cylinder will be admissible to these mentioned maximum LPG consumer prices.

The consumer price for locally produced LPG would remain fixed at PKR 1,239 per 11.8 kilogram cylinder or PKR 105 per kilogram including distribution margin of PKR 70 per 11.8 kilogram cylinder.

OGRA has advised all the LPG marketing companies to make available the sales invoice and gate pass on the company printed format clearly mentioning whether the consignment is imported or locally produced before dispatching the consignment from storage and filling plant.
