Reuters reported that Egypt's top listed builder and fertilizer maker Orascom Construction Industries Q4 net profit jumped 42% YoY to USD 105.8 million.

The results were below forecasts offered by 9 analysts polled by Reuters, which ranged from USD 98 million to USD 132.2 million with an average forecast of USD 111.3 million.

In 2008, the company reported Q4 net profit of USD 74.5 million excluding gains from the sale of 45% stake in Sokhna Port Development Company.
