POSCO ICT has recently signed a MoU with Kibar holding and Daewoo International, pledging to promote local business cooperation.

The MoU was established with Kibar holding of Turkey to locally promote the smart grid, LED, BHS, PSH, and e government businesses. Kibar holding, whose business portfolio consists of steel, auto, trade and logistics, has worked with POSCO to build STS and galvanized steel sheet manufacturing plants in the region.

The MoU has allowed POSCO ICT to seek an advantage in expanding its steel manufacturing business as well as other main operations in Turkey.

Meanwhile, POSCO ICT recently held a ceremony in Gaziantep and Bolu of Turkey to celebrate the completion of an LFG power plant. The facility uses land fill gas generated in the two cities to supply power to residences. Given the average household consumption of 6.7 liters per hour, the plant is capable of providing stable power supply to 6,700 households.
