Arab News reported that Prince Khaled Al Faisal Governor of Makkah opened a number of new welfare and development projects in the resort city of Taif. The new projects were established at a total cost of SAR 763 million.

The projects included expansion of Al Sail Road at a cost of SAR 27 million construction of King Abdullah Road at a cost of SAR 554 million and development of Shafa Road at a cost of SAR 12 million.

Mayor Muhammad Al Mukhrej said that another road leading to Taif University was constructed at a cost of SAR 114 million.
