Bloomberg recently reported that Qatar Mining Co is interested in building an Algerian steel complex with an output capacity of 7.1 million tonnes.

Algerie Presse Service, citing a local official it didn’t identify, reported that the Algerian state would hold a 51% stake in the project, to be located in Jijel, 400 kilometers east of Algiers, with the rest held by Qatar Mining.
