
Qatar Pearl GTL plant to reach full production mid 2012
Bloomberg reported that Royal Dutch Shell’s Pearl natural gas to liquids plant in Qatar is in the start-up phase and will reach full production in mid 2012.
Mr Andy Brown the company’s head for the Middle Eastern country said that Pearl GTL is Shell’s biggest project with equity investment of USD 19 billion.
He said that the plant will use natural gas to produce a range of fuels including gasoil base oils, naphtha, paraffin and kerosene. Full production will be 260,000 barrels per day.
