
Qatar and Shell sign deal for USD 6 billion petrochemical plants
Qatar signed a deal with Royal Dutch Shell to develop USD 6.4 billion petrochemicals complex in Ras Laffan in the Gulf Arab state.
Mr Mohammed al Sada energy minister of Qatar and Mr Peter Voser CEO of Shell signed the heads of agreement in the Qatari capital Doha.
The companies said that Qatar Petroleum will have an 80% stake in the project and Shell the remainder.
