Mr Taner Yildiz energy minister of Turkey announced teaming up with Qatar to form committees to start work on a possible LNG pipeline throughout Saudi Arabia.

Mr Yildiz said that this project aims to transfer Qatari gas to Turkey across Saudi Arabia.

He said that Turkey would put off a decision on whether to approve or cancel a tender to build Turkey's first nuclear power plant.

It is worth noting that a Russian led consortium of Inter RAO, Atomstroiexport and Turkey's Park Teknik submitted the sole bid in a tender 2008 for Turkey's project in building the nuclear plant.
