
Gulfinthemedia reported that Qatar has officially invited the United Kingdom to attend the third conference of signatories to the UN convention for combating corruption to be held in Doha in November.
The invitation was extended recently during a meeting held in London between HE the Attorney General Mr Ali bin Futais al Merri and the Attorney General for England and Wales Mr Patricia Scotland. The 2 officials discussed an ambitious program to exchange judicial experience between the countries including the training of public prosecutors.
The British official praised Qatar’s recent development in particular in the judicial field.
The attorney general said that November’s meeting will be an opportunity for all the ministers to join efforts to combat corruption.
