Rak Steel suspended production of rebar till October

It is reported that Rak Steel suspended production of rebar until early October 2008 because of unfavorable situation in the market.
As per report, during the standstill Rak Steel will lose some 35,000 tonne of 8mm to 40mm rebar.
The report said that Rak Steel will continue ramping up to full capacity its 500,000 tonne per year rebar mill in October 2008, commissioned in December 2007.
