Reuters reported that revenue from Egypt's Suez Canal rose to USD 410.2 million in September from USD 382.5 million a year earlier.

As per report, revenue fell month on month from USD 438.4 million in August compared with an earlier reported August figure of USD 436 million.

The waterway is a vital source of foreign currency in Egypt along with tourism, oil and gas exports and remittances from Egyptians living abroad.
