Saipem has been awarded new E&C Onshore contracts worth approximately EUR 1 billion mainly in Middle East.

In Abu Dhabi, Saipem as the leader of the JV including Dodsal Engineering and Construction Private Limited and Maire Tecnimont has been awarded by Etihad Rail Company a contract for the engineering and construction of a railway tract linking the natural gas production fields of Shah and Habshan, located in the internal part of the Country to the Port of Ruwais.

The project encompasses the development of a railway tract, partly on a single and partly on a double track which covers a distance of over 260 kilometers.

Furthermore, Saipem has agreed to various increases in the scope of its work on existing onshore contracts in Latin America, West Africa and Australia.
