TradeArabia.com reported that Malaysian Scomi Engineering Berhad is set to enter Bahrain with a monorail project worth USD 1 billion.

The Business Times newspaper quoted Scomi Group Bhd's senior VP Mr Kanesan Velupillai as saying that 'We have established a project team and have commenced preliminary works and studies for a detailed project report.”

Scomi Engineering, a unit of Malaysian conglomerate Scomi Group, bagged a contract last month to build a monorail system in Mumbai.
