
According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, in June this year new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey amounted to 67,389 units decreasing by 5.1% MoM and down 22.8% YoY. In May, new motor vehicle registrations had declined by 7.3% compared to the previous month.
New passenger car registrations in June totaled 33,784 units declining by 5.3% as compared to the previous month and down 24.1% YoY. Passenger cars accounted for 50.1% of total registrations. Small truck registrations, meanwhile, decreased by 18.4% MoM and were down 29.9% YoY amounting to 14,388 units. Small truck registrations constituted 21.4% of total registrations.
