According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, in June this year the producer price index for Turkish industry in general decreased by 0.5% over May and was up 7.64% YoY while an average rise of 4.3% was registered for the latest 12 months.

In June, the PPI for the domestic basic metal industry fell by 3.56% MoM and was up 18.9% compared to June 2009. Meanwhile, the average decrease in the latest 12 months was 4.42 %.

On the other hand, during the given month, the PPI for domestic manufacture of metal products, except machinery, slightly decreased by 0.11% over the previous month and was up 1.38% YoY. Meanwhile, in the sector in question, an average decrease of one percent in the PPI index was registered in the latest 12 months.
