According to the monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers' Association, in July this year Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 83,795 units decreasing by 5% YoY and down by 19.61% over the month of June.

In July, Turkey's passenger car output totaled 47,516 units down 13% its commercial vehicle production reached 33,013 units up 4% while tractor production amounted to 3,226 units up 103% all compared to July 2009. The overall production capacity utilization rate of the Turkish automotive industry in July this year was 64% down from 80% recorded in June.

Meanwhile, in the first 7 months of this year, the country's total motor vehicle output amounted to 645,022 units up 32% YoY, passenger car output totaled 359,998 units while commercial vehicle production reached 267,553 units increasing respectively by 20% and 49% compared to the corresponding period of 2009.
