According to the monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers' Association in August this year Turkey's motor vehicle output totalled 50,518 units decreasing by 16% YoY.

In August, Turkey's passenger car output totalled 26,132 units down 10% its commercial vehicle production reached 24,386 units down 22% while tractor production amounted to 2,035 units up 98% all compared to June 2010.

Meanwhile, in the first 8 months of this year, the country's total motor vehicle output amounted to 780,471 units up 13.5% YoY passenger car output totalled 419,310 units while commercial vehicle production reached 361,161 units increasing respectively by 7.7% and 21% compared to the corresponding period of 2010.
