
According to a survey conducted by the Oman's Public Authority for Consumer Protection, steel prices in the country rose again at distribution points in Muscat Governorate since the start of this month, Oman Daily Observer has reported.
The survey indicated that the price of UAE steel at Bahwan rose by OMR 3 per tonne to OMR 298 per tonne, while it fetched higher by OMR 7 per tonne in Al Ansari company (RO 290 to 292).
Oman Contracts and Construction Materials company's prices increased by OMR 3 per tonne and also ranged between OMR 290 per tonne and OMR 292 per tonne.
Prices at Qatari steel increased by a record OMR 10 per tonne to OMR 305 per tonne
The study covered Omani, Turkish, UAE and Qatari steel and focused on the prices of four main companies; Bahwan, Al Ansari, Al Sharq Al Awsat, and Oman Contracts and Construction Materials.
