
Pakistan Observe reported that the Pakistan’s Supreme Court has recently taking notice of misuse of its orders in Pakistan Steel Mill case and directed DG FIA to conduct fresh investigation fairly and justly without causing any harassment to anyone.
Three member bench headed by the Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry and comprising Justice Ghulam Rabbani and Justice Khalil Ur Rehman Ramday was hearing the case of PKR 22 billion scam of Pakistan Steel Mills. The bench also took notice of DG FIA's absence in the court.
The Chief Justice asked Deputy Attorney General Mr Abid Saqi as to why the DG FIA was reluctant and showing no interest in this case.
Earlier, the Deputy Attorney general informed the court that 14 accused had been arrested so far and the FIA had frozen their accounts.
