
Abu Dhabi's Tourism Development and Investment Company has awarded JV of Bahrain based Arcapita and French energy firm Dalkia a contract for a district cooling plant operation on Saadiyat island off the coast of Abu Dhabi.
The JV has been awarded 29 year concession with responsibility for the design, build, finance, operation and maintenance of the plants. The project will incorporate three plants and will be one of the Middle East's largest district cooling plant operations, providing a combined capacity of fifty thousand tonnes of refrigeration and servicing 27 square kilometers area.
