
New Iranian long steel plant Tabriz Atashin Nab Steel has officially been put into operation in recent days.
The phase I of the rolling mill has been constructed with an investment of about IRR 20 billion and has a designed annual capacity of 20,000 tonnes per year of rebar.
The new rolling mill is expected to source billet supplies mainly from the CIS.
Officials at Tabriz Atashin Nab Steel said that while they have commissioned the Phase I of the project the overall project includes 4 Phases. However, they did not disclose the details of the subsequent development phases.
