
Mehr News Agency reported that the value of Tabriz Petrochemical Complex exports in the first 3 months of the current Iranian calendar year surpassed USD 19 million, showing a 140% increase in comparison to the same period 2008.
SHANA reported some 20,000 tonnes of petrochemical products have been exported from Tabriz Petrochemical Complex to 13 countries in the mentioned period which shows a 270% increase in comparison to last year’s figure.
Turkey, Germany and Sweden have been the major importers of these products purchasing 5,700 tonnes, 5,400 tonnes and 2,800 tonnes respectively.
Tabriz Petrochemical Complex is Iran’s third largest polymer producer compared to Imam Khomeini and Arak petrochemical complexes. Eight different petrochemical products of the complex are exported to 38 countries worldwide.
