
The News reported that the Board of Directors of the Punjab Industrial Estates has approved the launch of new development projects worth PKR 1.25 billion during the current fiscal.
Mr S M Tanveer chairman of Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company said that “The new projects include three industrial estates at Vehari, Rahim Yar Khan and Bhalwal in the southern Punjab.”
Mr Tanveer said that the PIE BOD has decided that Halal Parks dedicated areas for the production of certified halal products would be integral of all these estates where quality livestock was abundantly available. The PIE board has also allocated a special fund for upgrading the Multan Industrial Estate.
He said that a pharmaceutical laboratory of international standard for the inspection of drugs and for certification and construction of a commercial complex at Sundar Industrial Estate was also part of the new development projects of PIEDMC.
