Gulf News reported that oilfield services group Topaz Energy and Marine has signed long term vessel support contracts totaling USD 160 million.

Topaz's cable lay vessel, the Team Oman has been contracted to ABB for 5 year wind farm support contract which will begin early 2012. It will involve a significant upgrade of the vessel for her to carry out all interconnector and repair work in the wind farm industry.

The company's newly built anchor handling tug supply vessel, the Topaz Khubayb has been awarded a three year contract with Saudi Aramco. Topaz operates in Saudi Arabia through JV with the Gentas Group.

Mr Roy Donaldson COO of Topaz Marine said that "We are delighted to announce these two new contracts with prestigious clients."
