Turkey increases steel billet exports in January

According to the data provided by Turkey's Steel Exporters' Association, in January this year Turkey's total steel billet exports amounted to 269,902 tonnes increasing by 113% YoY and up 6.1% compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, in January the revenue generated by Turkey's steel billet exports totaled USD 170 million increasing 123.5% compared to January 2011 and up 4.8% MoM.
In January this year, Turkey's steel billet exports to Saudi Arabia were up six fold compared to a year ago while its steel billet exports to the UAE decreased by 83.5% compared to January 2011.
