
Turkish construction companies plan to build 20,000 housing units in a town near the capital city of Tehran.
Mr Ali Nikzad minister of housing and urban development of Turkey said that the construction work of 20,000 housing units has been entrusted to a Turkish company named Kusadasi and they should finish the construction work in 18 months.
He made the remarks after accompanying the Turkish President Mr Abdullah Gul in a visit to the new town of Parand near Tehran. The Turkish Kusadasi Company is due to build the 20,000 housing units in Parand.
Mr Gul urged that the Turkish nationals working for Kusadasi company to make their best efforts to complete the project in the best possible form.
Mr Mustafa Demir Turkey's minister of public works and housing had announced recently that Turkish companies had already started their activity to build about 20,000 residential units in Iran. Noting that there are great potentials and capacities for investment in Iran's housing sector, he reiterated that the long, mid and short-term planning for the expansion of the two countries' relations and cooperation in housing construction will certainly be fruitful for both nations.
