According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute, in December 2011 Turkey's cold rolled coil and sheet imports fell 23.27% compared to the previous month and were up 19.7% YoY amounting to 54,153 tonnes. The value of these imports amounted to USD 45.7 million down 25.2% compared to November and up 25.3% YoY.

Meanwhile, in 2011, Turkey's cold rolled coil and sheet imports amounted to 641,613 tonnes decreasing four percent compared to 2010.

In 2011, Turkey's cold rolled coil and sheet imports from Russia amounted to 229,323 tonnes decreasing by 17% compared to 2010 and accounting for approximately 35.7% of the country's total cold rolled coil and sheet imports. Turkey's second biggest source of cold rolled coil and sheet imports in 2011 was Romania with 95,640 tonnes increasing by 19.6% YoY.
