
Turkish Makyol bags USD 325 million Oman road deal
Reuters reported that Turkish construction company Makyol has been awarded OMR 125.3 million contract to build a 126 kilometers road in Oman.
A tender board official said that “Makyol of Turkey got the Al Batinah coastal road phase 1 construction project.”
He said that a contract to build the Phase II the road is expected to be awarded by the end of 2009.
The Gulf Arab state is spending heavily on infrastructure and it has allocated a budget of over USD 16 billion for 2009.
