According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, in December 2011 Turkey's monthly industrial production index increased by 3.7% YoY while the seasonal and calendar adjusted industrial production index increased by 2.7% compared to the previous month.

In December, the index for the manufacture of basic metals decreased by 0.4% YoY and was up 13.7% from November while the index for the manufacture of fabricated metal products rose by 6.7% YoY and was up by 13.5% compared to the previous month.
