
According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute, in May this year Turkey's chrome ore exports amounted to 222,210 tonnes rising 58.4 compared to the same month of 2011 and up 13.1% compared to April this year.
Meanwhile, in May the revenue generated by Turkey's chrome ore exports totaled USD 45.7 million increasing 18% compared to April this year and up to 19% on YoY basis.
Meanwhile, in the first 5 months of 2012 Turkey's chrome ore exports decreased by 7.3% to 832,900 tonnes while the revenue for these exports stood at USD 168.9 million down by 13.7% both compared to the same period of 2011.
In the first 5 months of this year, Turkey's chrome ore exports to China fell 6.3% to 714,369 tonnes while the country's chrome ore exports to Sweden and to Russia decreased by 28.2% and 6.4% to 63,000 tonnes and 31,250 tonnes respectively all compared to the first 5 months of 2011.
