According to statistics released by the Iron and Steel Producers' Association of Turkey, Turkeys' crude steel output was at around 2.9 million tonnes in June 2012, rising by 4% YoY while decreasing by 4% MoM.

In June 2012, the crude steel output from the country's electric arc furnace increased by 8.6% YoY and that from blast furnace was at 658,000 tons, increasing by 9.4% YoY.

At the same time, the country's billet output totaled 2.3 million tonnes in June 2012, increasing by 16.2% YoY.
