According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute, in December 2011 Turkey's seamless pipe imports rose by 56.85% compared to the previous month and were up 2.2% compared to December 2010 increasing to 19,221 tonnes. The value of these imports amounted to USD 34.2 million increasing by 52.2% as compared to November and down 36.4% YoY.

In the whole year of 2011, Turkey's seamless pipe imports amounted to 235,736 tonnes increasing 16.6% compared to 2010.

In 2011, Turkey's seamless pipe imports from China amounted to 76,462 tonnes increasing by 14.3% YoY and accounting for approximately 32.4% of Turkey's total seamless pipe imports. Turkey's second biggest source of seamless pipe imports in 2011 was Russia with 41,339 tonnes decreasing by 8.6% compared to 2010
