According to the data provided by Turkey's Steel Exporters' Association, Turkey's total steel billet exports amounted to 254,340 tonnes in December 2011, decreasing by 21.34% YoY and up by 58.5% MoM.
In December 2011, the revenue generated by Turkey's steel billet exports totaled USD 162.15 million, decreasing 11.76% YoY and up by 43.3% YoY.
Meanwhile, in 2011 Turkey's steel billet exports declined by 32.16% YoY to 2.4 million tonnes, while the revenue for these exports stood at USD 1.6 billion, down by 15.5% YoY.
In 2011, Turkey's steel billet exports to Saudi Arabia decreased by 1.6% YoY, while its steel billet exports to Egypt increased by 50% YoY. Syria's steel imports from Turkey have increased by 207% YoY in 2011.
