According to the provisional foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Exporters' Association, in August this year Turkey's steel exports totaled USD 1.28 billion in value increasing by 4.5% YoY and up 1.7% as compared to the previous month.

In August this year, of Turkey's industrial sectors, steel was the sector with the third highest export value while the motor vehicle sector was the sector with the fourth highest export value with USD 1.07 billion decreasing by 16.8% compared to August 2011.

On the other hand, in the first 8 months of this year, Turkey's steel export value came to USD 10.6 billion rising by 4.06% YoY.
