According to the statistics provided by the Turkish Steel Pipe Manufacturers Association, in the first 8 months of this year Turkey's total steel pipe exports amounted to 1.2 million tonnes increasing by 10.15% compared to the corresponding period last year. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled USD 1.1 billion up by 2.77% compared to January to August 2011.

In the first 8 months, Turkey's biggest destination for steel pipe exports was again the US with the export volume to that country increasing by 95% YoY. Meanwhile, Poland was one of the top 10 export destinations in the period in question due to the high export level recorded in August. In the month in question, Poland was the third largest steel pipe export destination of Turkey, importing 11,406 tonnes.

In August this year, Turkey's total steel pipe exports amounted to 152,418 tonnes surging by 46.6% YoY and up 2.2% compared to July. The revenue from these exports totaled USD 142.7 million rising 25.1% compared to August 2011.
